The words of William Wordsworth's poem, "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" came to mind when I visited the Lake District in Northwest England. This breathtaking mountainous region was a source of inspiration to literary figures like John Keats, Lord Tennyson, Felicia Hemans and Beatrix Potter. Although the Lake District is a popular holiday spot, its' natural beauty remains intact.
